Artificial Intelligence and the Enterprise

Dr. Timothy Chou joined Tandem Computers in 1981 straight out of the University of Illinois.  He served in a number of roles there and managed to enjoy three sabbaticals.  Since then he has gone on to serve as the President of Oracle On Demand, which pioneered the delivery of enterprise applications as cloud services.  Today he's a member of the board of directors of two public companies, Blackbaud (BLKB) and Teradata (TDC).  

Beyond his commercial career he has taught at Stanford University for over 25 years.  In the early days hard core computer architecture and over the past 12 years a class on Cloud Computing, CS309A which has had over 90 guest lecturers including the CEOs of Webex, Salesforce, RightNow, Tableau, LinkedIn, Johnson Controls, CMS Energy, New Relic, Splunk, Illumina and ServiceNow.  

Dr. Chou has authored a few books including the landmark book, "The End of Software" and more recently “Precision: Principles, Practices and Solutions for the Internet of Things” which has been translated into Vietnamese and Chinese and will soon be available in Korean. Tim also serves as the Chairman of the Alchemist Accelerator focused on the Internet of Things and is also the executive Chairman of Lecida, a collaborative intelligence application software company, which seeks to blend artificial intelligence with human intelligence. 

He’ll be joining us at the NonStop Technical Boot Camp this year to give a keynote talk on “Artificial Intelligence and the Enterprise”.
